Question : spamming of my eventlog with an errormessage

since some days my eventlog is spammed by an vmware service called "vmauthd" with the Message "Malformed perfmon object, index=". Does somebody know how to turn off this thing, because it makes my eventlog completly senceless.
My laptop is running under "MS Vista Sp1" and has VMware Workstation 6, Server Console and Player installed with 2 VMware interfaces.

vmauthd is the common error for not being able to open a virtual image.
