Question : winlogon log
I have a very large log file located at c:\windows\temp\sql.log. It is about 9GB now. When I attempt to delete it, the OS informed me that the file can't be deleted because it is being used by another process. Using Process Explorer to find the linked process, I found that winlogon.exe is linked to this log file.
Can someone help me to find out how to remove the reference to c:\windows\temp\sql.log in winlogon.exe? I suspect there maybe a setting in the winlogon.exe startup script that is referencing c:\windows\temp\sql.log.
thanks,
Ted

After I upgrade the Windows XP to SP3, I was able to remove the file.
