Question : Exchange is in recovery mode
|
|
Hi,
I'm struggling with a laptop that I've recently re-installed Windows 2000.
There seems to be a small problem with users profile and Outlook 2003 cached mode files.
Now what happens when starting Outlook, I get:
Exchange is currently in recovery mode. You can either connect to your Exchange Server using the network, work offline, or cancel this logon.
I've unintalled and reinstalled Outlook with no change ...

Answer : Exchange is in recovery mode

Greetings, dtodd.
If you believe it's a problem with the user's profile, then I recommend creating a new profile. If instead you believe there's a problem with the cached copy of the mailbox, then exit Outlook, delete the cache file, and let out Outlook recreate it when it starts. Do you need specific instructions for either of these tasks?
Cheers!
