Question : Setting up OKI C5100n on Windows Vista Business (32 bit)
Hi There,
I have a problem whereas I am trying to set up my OKI C5100n to my Vista laptop. Whenever I try to print to it it brings up the error message "Could not connect printer to LPR port." The printer has been setup to work over IP and other machines can print to it fine (However other machines are using XP Pro SP2).
Assuming this is a driver issue, I have searched OKI's website and cannot find a Vista 32 bit driver.
Intrestingly enough if I share the OKI from an XP Pro machine I can print to it fine, but I would rather not do this as the other machine would have to be on all the time.
I myself have an Acer Travelmate 4230 laptop which I have recently reloaded (Partly because of this problem).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Answer : Setting up OKI C5100n on Windows Vista Business (32 bit)
Hi Everyone,
I believe that I have now resolved the problem by myself. I had to reset all the settings on the OKI NIC and then re-setup. And then I managed to print ot it straight away without problems.
Thank you for your help though.
