Question : What are the recommended alternatives to the Office Web Components when used in Microsoft Access

We have lately replaced all embedded graphs in our Access applications with OWC components; previously we used Microsoft Graph but this lacked flexibility and usability in our view.

However it now appears that OWC11 (for Office 2003) is the latest version and although it will continue to be supported it will no longer be bundled with Office (i.e. there is no OWC12 with Office 2007 and you should use the 2003 DLL instead).

I am looking for guidance where to go; however would like to avoid using any 3-rd party components.

Thanks for the help

You can build charts dynamically (bar charts) by using rectangle objects and assigning their sizes when the report opens. It's a pain, but can be done.

Access's built-in charts are really good.
I s there something specific that you're trying to achieve?
