Question : Upgrade from Windows Server 200 to 2007 and impact on security?
If I upgrade this box there is an application that is runing using local security. I do not have the passwords that were used to set up that process. Can this process be impacted. I'ts getting data from another source but and the password is required for it to get that data.
Thanks.
Answer : Upgrade from Windows Server 200 to 2007 and impact on security?
Upgrades from Windows 2000 are not supported on Windows Server 2008 R2. You will have to recreate your current setup on a new server, which will not migrate your current password scenario.
