Question : After OCS F-E's IP was changed, Services would't start - SQL connection lost?
We deployed OCS 2007 R2 Enterprise on Wi Server 2008 and installed B-E to a SQL 2005 cluster (on Win Server 2003) on NON-Default Instance, in NON-Default port.
We made SQL Alias to point different SQl Instance and TCP-port with Connectivity Components on OCS F-E.
Everything was fine and working. Then, for a reason, we needed to change VLAN and IP. On new VLAN, exactly same ports are open between servers.
After this change, non of OCS Services starts. RtcSrv (OCS F-E Service) is on Starting state and Server is slow on any users action.
We have changed DNS-records and cleared caches on every DNS Server and OCS/SQL Servers.
When Tracing network traffic, it seems that SQL Browser (Process?) is trying to connect SQL server and it scans UDP(!!) ports from 1->... time-out comes after few minutes and RtcSrv fails to start.
We have made SQL alias again, only thing changed is that OCS F-E tries to connect to the right IP now.
Thank You for Your help!!

We will uninstall the system and maybe some day try this again.
