Question : Moving SID History
I need to know if there is a way to transfer or copy, SID history over from one domain to another WITHOUT the use of trusts. My guess is it would have to be done VIA scripts. I am working on a way to migrate across domains/forrests without needing a trust in place to accomplish this. So far I am missing SID history, and really all I need from it are the profile, and the e-mail settings. Any suggestions or help from anyone?
Answer : Moving SID History
Yes. You need to do some creative nesting - I thought this was documented in the ADMT guide but if not, the SBS Migration guide for 2003 definetely has this in it.
