I have two servers running WSS 3.
The first is Windows 2003 R2. This is our existing SharePoint Services server. The SharePoint site is accessible via UNC paths (i.e. \\SHAREPOINT\doclibrary).
The second is a Windows 2008 server with the WebDAV extensions installed and a WebDAV authoring rule configure dto allow users read & write access. I have restored a backup of the existing WSS site from the 2003 server to this server. Everything works great, however I cannot access the site via UNC paths or Explorer view. When attempting to access the site via UNC (Start -> Run -> \\sharepoint2) I get the list of shared folders from the server hosting the site, not the list of document libraries. When attempting to access a document library in Explorer view, I receive the error message "Your client does not support opening this list with Windows Explorer", although it works fine accessing the same lists off the old server.
All systems - clients, servers - have been completely patched.
