Question : Problem installing Exchange 2010 on a 2008 DC

Installation readiness check:
This error shows up in hub, client and unified sections

Error:
Setup encountered a problem while validating the state of Active Directory: Could not find any Domain Controller in domain proauto2008.com.

My forest level is 2008 as well as the DC, the closest resolution in technet discusses being "at least" at a 2003 level (in the Exchange 2010 area no less!). Is the fundamental problem that the AD is at 2008 trying to do an Exchange 2010 installation?
I'm logged in as domain administrator in all of the prerequisite groups.
Thanks Brian

Answer : Problem installing Exchange 2010 on a 2008 DC

""""""No, it is attached to the domain (proauto2008\administrator) and I added domain services in Server Manager.on the machine.  I haven't removed the role but it is also telling me it is not a DC.
Brian""""""""""

You should NOT install Domain services on the server that you want to install Exchange unless it is a DC. Remove the role, restart the server and run exchange setup.
