Answer : What is Bitlocker ion Vista and windows 2003. How different are these in both OS.

Bitlocker Drive Encryption is a business-class hard disk drive encryption utility which is included as standard with Windows Vista (Business, Enterprise and Ultimate) editions, and Windows Server 2008.

The utility effectively encrypts ENTIRE hard disk volumes, protecting all the potentially sensitive data which they may contain. Users must provide one or more of several different forms of ID on system boot, in order to read the hard disk and the data it contains.

There are a few criticisms of BitLocker, most notably the fact that there is, according to Microsoft's official channels at least, no built-in method of evading the security feature.

Bitlocker should never replace physical PC security, particularly with servers, such as the lock on the door to your server room!

See http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/windowsvista/features/details/bitlocker.mspx for more information.
