Question : Can't see hidden files

Hello everyone:

When I "right-click" on a folder in Windows XP explorer and select "Properties" it incorrectly reports that that there are two files inside.  (I only placed one inside. )

The "properties" box also doesn't report that there are any hidden files.

However, a piece of software that I use named "folder report" reports that the folder does contain a hidden file.

I don't see any hidden file inside the folder.  I have "show hidden" folders turned on.

Why is this being incorrectly reported?

Thanks!

Answer : Can't see hidden files

It may well be a system file.

Tools->Folder Options->view->Hide Protected Operating System Files (Recommended)

Remember to turn this back on again afterwards, to help reduce the possibility of accidental damage
