Question : Windows 7 Screen Saver won't start

Hello,
I have actually tried all the suggestions already posted on this site to remedy this problem but so far none of them have worked. To put it simply, the screen saver doesnt activate regardless of the appointed minutes to start, or screen saver image. From searching the web I see there are many people with the same issue but I havent found a solution that works for me.

Including this one disable Allow this device to wake the computer' in your network adapter property.
Are there any new solutions that may have been discovered?

try using a usb keyboard and mouse instead and then retry the SS
