Question : Error upgrading AD schema
Hello,
I am in the process of upgrading our environment from Win2k and Win2k3 server to Essential Business Server (EBS) 2008, which is comprised of three seperate servers; management, security and messaging. During the installation process of the management server, it states that our existing schema is not supported and tells me to run the Schema Upgrade Tool on our primary DC.
So I remote desktop to the Primary DC (Windows 2000 Server, Service Pack 4 (5.00.2195)) and run the tool from an executable file saved to the desktop. It instantly returns the following error:
"The Schema Upgrade Tool must abort due to an internal error"
There is no log of this error in the event viewer. How can I proceed?
Answer : Error upgrading AD schema
if not, try to find the adprep.exe in the cd
and try to run adprep /forestprep and etc (group policy and domain)
