Question : Remote Desktop Connection will not accept password

Recently, when trying to use RDC to connect to another PC, it will not accept my password.  However, when going to the PC, the password I try is correct.  This is happening from any PC I use to try to connect to the PC in question.  I get to the connect window just fine, but after entering the Username and Password, I receive the message that the credentials are in error.  The PC I am trying to connect to is running Vista and the others run either Vista or XP.  I have successfully used PDC prior to this problem on all PCs.

What should I do to rectify this problem?

Thanks!

Answer : Remote Desktop Connection will not accept password

I solved it myself.  Since my network is not domain based, I use IP addresses to connect.  The PC that I was logging into changed its IP address. The IP addresses seldom change, but it did this time.  So, once I entered the correct IP adress for the PC, the password worked properly.  What had me fooled is that I never received an error message when using the former IP address--the connection window opened up as before, but would not accept the password.

Thanks for your attempts at helping!
