Question : hidden files on server - windows 2003 server
If I navigate to network and open a folder I have option to hide a folder- but it is only hidden on my computer.
Can I ask the network admin to hide a folder of mine on the server - and it would then be hidden from all uers?
thank you
Answer : hidden files on server - windows 2003 server
You can, but it will still be visible if another user configures explorer to show hidden files - a better approach to this would be to ask your network admin to share the folder using a hidden share which is then not visible within normal 'browsing'
