Question : What is Utility.mda?

Hello Experts,

I have seen the following checked in my Access97 References:

utility

but JimMorgan told me that Utility.mda is an add-in and should not appear in References. (ref http://www.experts-exchange.com/jsp/qShow.jsp?ta=msaccess&qid=10295619 )
In that instance, when I unchecked it on the problem machine, it no longer appeared on MY machine's References.

And I just found an old Q that the asker lists utility as a reference (ref http://www.experts-exchange.com/bin/BuyPAQ?qid=10207042)

So I'm wondering what it is. (to get the points, the question is: What is it's intended purpose as an add-in and when would you use it?)  and, if you know the mystery of the Reference appearance, why would it appear as a Reference as though it were a .dll or an .ocx?

Thanks,

Mac

Answer : What is Utility.mda?

Well.......I did a search in the MS knowledge base, and found a lot of articles on utility.mda. It seems to have a lot of purposes, Zoom being on of them. There are too many for me to go over, or post. You can go and do a search for "utility.mda", and read up. I am posting the link for KB.
