Question : uninstall this application when it falls out of the scope of managment

I created a group policy to deploy a piece of software a while back.  It is an assigned deployment type and is linked to specific computers.  I enabled the option to "uninstall this application when it falls out of the scope of managment".  I now what to delete that GPo.  But, I do not want the software to be removed.  If I just delete the GPO will it uninstall the software at next reboot?  Should I change the option to disabled and let it cook a while so computers get the new setting and delete the GPO?

Answer : uninstall this application when it falls out of the scope of managment

Yes, just to confirm, it's a client side setting - the client checks each time to see if the GPO is still applying to it. If the GPO is no longer applying, it removes the software. So moving the user/computer, or deleting the GPO would have the same effect - the software would be removed.

So, definitely take the safe option by changing the software deployment options and allow group policy to refresh on all machines/users.
