Question : Package load Failure when opening visual studio
|
|
Hi Experts,
when i try to open Dev studio I getting this Package Load Failure
"Package 'SlickEdit.Gadgets.RPCorePAckage, RPCOREWhidbey, Version=1.0.0.57, culture=nuetral, PublicToken =xxxxxxx' has failed to load properly (GUID = {}). Please contact package vendor for assistance. Application restart s recommended, due to possible environment corruption. Would you like to disable loading this package in the future? you may use devenv.exe /resetskippkgs to re-enable package loading."
I tried this "devenv.exe /resetskippkgs " and also did a repair on VS2005. Any body please suggest, I'm stuck
Thanks.

Are you familiar with the SlickEdit tools package? (ie did you know it was installed?) You could always try downloading it again and attempt a re-install. Have you checked for SlickEdit in your "Add/Remove Programs"? Many 3rd party addons for VS are installed seperately and will appear in that list. If it's not there your best bet is to reinstall SlickEdit

Let me know how you get on, standing by to assist further
