Question : Continuous form - alternate shading every other record

Hi Experts,

I am trying to alternate record shading on a continuous form.  I followed a tutorial for reports, however, I cannot seem to duplicate this in forms.  In reports the tutorial utilized an unbound text box named 'linenumber' which sits behind the form fields.  The attached images show the control source and running sum settings for linenumber as well as the conditional formatting from the report tutorial.

 I've been playing with this set-up and can't seem to get it to work for forms...I'm having problems figuring out how to do the equivalent running sum as I don't see the same 'running sum' option for an unbound textbox in forms.  Also, I'm not sure if this would eventually impact a solution (i.e. numbering of records for shading), but the user has the ability to delete records in the continuous form.

Any suggestions?

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner.

On form FRM_Main, take the control ColorBitmap and set it's SizeMode to Stretch.   Then click on it and drag the left handle all the way over to the left (strech it out to the full width of the detail section).  Then click on format on the menu and select "send to back"
