Question : How to tell when a text message has been opened

Hi,
I know there are services that will inform you when an email you send has been opened by the reciepient (without asking for a receipt of message), but is there a service to tell you when a text message has been read?

The email tracking program I refereed to above was pointofmail.com

I asked them but I think there 1 man business has not answered yet.

Depends on the phone service and phone I think. I currently live in the United Kingdom, and as long as they are using a compliant phone (like say, another Nokia), I receive a confirmation that they have opened the text message. However, I don't get this response if that person is using a carrier like O2, or an older phone.
