While viewing on the Safari on Mac, it seems it's working alright.
First that applet loads,
Then a security certificate message pops up, asking me if I want it to allow or deny.
That message says that Certificate is verified. [Although it's expired, as the Details show]
When I click "Allow", a small pop-up appears asking for a username and password...
So, even if that certificate is expired, I think we are still able to run that applet...
