Question : Exchange 2010 Transition, BES 4.1

Hi there,

We currently running Exchange 2003 and are planning a transition to Exchange 2010. We are also currently running BES 4.1. Now i know that RIM is planning a service pack to come out for BES but my question is like this. If I leave my 2003 server running after migrating all the mailboxes ot the new exchange server will my I still be able to use BES without the service pack. Meaning my MAPI profile for BES would point to the 2003 server. Will my BES server still work even without RIM's service pack. Thanks.

I have heard that you can use BES with Exchange 2007 and the mailboxes on Exchange 2010 and it works. I haven't tried it with Exchange 2003, but it should work in the same way. Bring the server up to the latest version you an.

Although I am expecting the update for Exchange 2010 support to be released for version 5 only, not for version 4.x.
