Question : DFS cross domain replication?
Just wondering if it's possible within the new DFS from R2 to replicate data from one domain to another (child domain)
I ask because this would obviously be easier than creating two seperate DFS installations. Previously this was not possible as far as I was able to tell but would like your ideas on how to go about this or a workaround.
Thanks :)
Answer : DFS cross domain replication?
Hello there,
DFS relies on Active Directory Service configuration. Thus, it is only possible to use DFS in A Domain.
You may want to try out OpenAFS which is Windows DFS alternative. You might find it to be a better solution.
