Question : wired autoconfig service missing

Hi Experts,

I have just installed Windows XP Pro on my laptop.
I am having problems connecting to the internet through my belkin router.

I thought that the problem could be due to the fact, that I do not have an authentication Tab on my Lan connection properties.

So after much research, it seems that I have to start the wired autoconfig service
using computer management.

However, when I go into computer management-services and applications-services,
wired autoconfig is not available.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Lossie.

Answer : wired autoconfig service missing

That shouldnt stop you from getting to the web.....

Are the following services started?

DHCP Clienjt?
DNS Client?
Network Connections'?

Are you 100% certain the drivers are installed on that card?

AV/Firewall software disabled?

Try another Cable/Port on the router?

Can you please post an "ipconfig /all" for us?
