Question : DNS on new domain

Hello,

I've set up two new domain controllers in a brand new forest and domain.  As far as DNS settings go, should I point both of them at themselves for the primary DNS, and then at each other for the secondary DNS?  The OS is 2008 R2.

You want to make the server a DNS and a GC. You want the DNS zone to be AD integrated.

When you promote your DC it should point to the other DC for primary DNS until you know replication has fully taken place. Once replication is fully done you can then change the primary DNS to point to itself for DNS.
