Question : Acer Aspire 5532 - Windows XP Drivers
Hello Experts,
I have a new Acer Aspire 5532 laptop that has Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit installed. I have older programs that will only work on Windows XP 32-bit. I have a Genuine copy of Windows XP Home Edition 32-bit that I am having no success on reloading. I am getting a blue screen error 0X0000007B (0xF78D663C, 0XC0000034, 0X00000000, 0X00000000).
I went to the Acer support website and they do not have any supported Windows XP drivers. Although there is no support from Acer, I was hoping someone can help me find the Storage Controller so I can install Windows XP Home Edition anyways. I believe that is what the blue screen error is telling me.
When I go into device manager, the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers are:
ATA Channel 0
ATA Channel 1
ATA Channel 2
ATA Channel 3
ATA Channel 4
ATA Channel 5
Standard AHCI 1.0 Serial ATA Controller
I am pretty sure it is not one of the "ATA Channel x" so when I go into "Standard AHCI 1.0 Serial ATA Controller" properties it shows that is it using:
Driver Provider: Microsoft
Driver Date: 6/21/2006
Driver Version: 6.1.7600.16385
Digital Siner: Microsoft Windows
When I go into the Driver File Details is shows:
C:\Windows\system32\DRIVER
S\atapi.sy
s
C:\Windows\system32\DRIVER
S\ataport.
sys
C:\Windows\system32\DRIVER
S\msahci.s
ys
C:\Windows\system32\DRIVER
S\pciidex.
sys
Can anyone help me find Windows XP 32-bit storage drivers so I can reload Windows XP?
