Question : XP PC on domain hangs on printing for all applications

I put out an XP Pro notebook on a domain running about 25 computers. Anytime I try to print using the file-print sequence it makes the application hang and eventually lock. If I just click the print button it prints instantly. It is not partial to any one program. It hangs on autocad, streets and trips, and also rescheck. It is not the file sizes becaues every other computer is instantaneously printing. Any suggestions would be a plus. It is a brand new inspiron 6400 from dell. Also I tried replacing the spool files.

Also check if there are any shared/network printers installed which dont exist anymore on the network. If there are any, delete them and try printing again. If this doesn't solve the problem you should also try creating new windows profile for the user you are printing from by renaming it.
