Question : Have full control in Sharepoint but cannot view groiup
I recently installed Windows Sharepoint Services on our server. I was able to install and configure it, and then added users (including myself of course) to the system. I gave myself "Full Control" permissions. Then I created a group called "Sharepoint Users" and added about a dozen of our staff to this group. That was a few days ago. Today I go into our Sharepoint site, but when I click on the Sharepoint users group, I get this message: "You do not have permission to view the membership of the group.". I have tried everything I can think of, but cannot open this group to view the users. I can, however, click on "All People" and see all the users.
Does this make any sense? And does anyone know why it happened and how I can fix it?
Thanks!
Answer : Have full control in Sharepoint but cannot view groiup
There is a bug (as I previously said) in SharePoint which causes problems when creating your own permission sets. If you don't see the need to "copy" a permission set then that's fine. But i'm confused as to why you come on here asking people for advice (and these people do it for free) when you're not willing to accept the advice.
Good luck.
