Question : Access 2010 - installing without all of Office 2010
I'm just wondering if it is possilbe to download and install the Beta of Access 2010 without downloading and installing the whole Office suite.
I have been reviewing my system and it would cause as many problems as it solves to set my system up with a virtual partition. It occurred to me, however, that perhaps I could just download the Access 2010 beta, since this is all I'm really interested in.
My hope would be that Access 2010 and Access 2007 can live together on the same machine in harmony. Maybe, for just Access 2010 a VM is not all that necessary.
This is kind of a strech but thought it was worth asking.
Answer : Access 2010 - installing without all of Office 2010
For the beta, you'll want a separate box/VM for 2010. It does not live in harmony with earlier versions...known issue for the beta, so don't bother trying.
