Question : How Do i repair msiexec.exe?
I've noticed that msiexec.exe is always running at 25% CPU usage and doesn't really budge from that. I've ended the process but it keeps starting up on it's own eventhough there was no install running. The only way "around" this is to disable the windows installer service. I've tried to perform a msiexec repair from Microsoft's KB. (msiexec.exe /regserver and completely delete the msi files and reinstall the windows installer but it tells me that the current version is newer than the one i'm installing and won't let me complete the install) Any ideas?
