Question : Auto Spell checking is not working on outlook with the signature

I have ms outlook 2003 and I have made an html stationary and made it as a signature for forword and reply but I noticed that the spell check is not working when I am replying or forwarding an email to others.

How to fix this issue?

Answer : Auto Spell checking is not working on outlook with the signature

In Outlook when you reply or forward a email message, the default layout of the message will be what the original message was.

I.e., if someone sends you a plain text email. If you reply or forward that email it will be in plain text as well.

It is for this reason why stationary or themes ONLY work for new mail messages and DO NOT work in Outlook on forward and replies

There is a very good reason for this as, if someone sends you a Plain Text Email because their email client only uses Plain Text, and you reply with an HTML Email that has a theme or stationary plastered all over it. They may never receive your reply or it could possibly cause issues with their particular email client.

In your setup above, What you have done is used a known work-around in Outlook 2003 to apply a stationary/theme to emails that you want to forward or reply to.

The drawback of this work around is that spell check will not work in text you have placed in a Signature field.

Again, the only real solutions here are:

1 Copy and Paste into Word, Then Back Again as suggested

2 - Forget the idea of using stationary on replies and forwards.

3 Forget using stationary full stop.

4 Continue using the setup you have.
However, know that spell check will not auto check in a signature field and the solution is:

You cannot do that (There is no solution)
