Question : SBS 2008: Cannot enable shadow clopies

Hi,

I have a Small Business Server 2008, and I cannot enable shadow copies.

If I right-click the C: drive and select Properties - Shadow Copies, I should be able to turn shadow copies on or off. However, all I get on that tab is

"Initialization failed. Error 0x80070005: Access is denied."

As a result, Symantec Backup Exec does not function properly.
I also noticed that the Volume Shadow Copy service  (VSC) was set to Manual and not started. I changed this to Automatic and restarted the server, and now the VSC service reports "Started - Automatic."

But still I cannot enable shadow copies.
How do I solve this? Is the VSC service supposed to only start manually?

Well, I have decided to contact Microsoft to get their help on this issue.
