Question : After_Update Event not firing

A freind of mine is working on a appllication and asked me to post this question.

Will you look at your developer group and ask a question for me.  
I am trying to figure out why the form_afterupdate event does not fire on one of my subforms.  

The events fire in this sequence.

Dirty
Beforeupdate
Current

But skips the afterupdate event.  It is driving me crazy.

Answer : After_Update Event not firing

is the event registered?

I have sometimes coded (usually at runtime), added events in, but they dont fire
I have to go to forms design, click on the event handler and go to that code
