Question : DPM 2007: Unable to extend the AD schema for end user recovery
Hi,
I installed DPM 2007 on a Windows Server 2008 x64, when I want to configure the end-user recovery, I click on configure active directory.
As I'm currently logged in with the Domain Administrator account I select use current credentials. After clicking on OK for both informational messages, I get an error:
Active Directory could not be configured because the Active Directory domain could not be found. Make sure that the domain name is properly constructed.
I tried again and entered the credentials manually, also tried with other user account that is member of both domain and schema admin groups, but I get the same error message.
The schema master is a Windows Server 2003 SP2 x86. The other DC is Server 2008 x64.
Answer : DPM 2007: Unable to extend the AD schema for end user recovery
One possibility is that DNS of the computer you are using are incorrect. Ensure that DNS are the IPs of the domain servers and reboot machine.
