Question : sharepoint search does not return results

the search does not return and results on my search engine. I've tried making the default service account and the sharepoint search service account both the sharepoint farm administrator. I've tried adding crawl rules. I keep getting this error message:

Access is denied. Check that the Default Content Access Account has access to this content, or add a crawl rule to crawl this content. (The item was deleted because it was either not found or the crawler was denied access to it.)

I can browse as this account to any site in my farm. Someone help please.

ok check here as well central admin operations  services on server  office searver search services settings

under farm search services account what account is there ?
