Question : Trying to eliminate password box on Reporting Services
I am running SQL Server 2005 and SSRS 2005 with Windows Server 2003 on one machine and SQL 2005 database running with Windows Server 2008 on another machine.
When I go the the url
http://server/reporting
, I am confronted with a password box. When I enter my user name and password, there is a pause and eventually I am given browse access to the Reporting Directory.
However, what I WANT is to eliminate the password box completely. I thought using 'Windows Integrated Authentication' would do that. What am I doing wrong?
Answer : Trying to eliminate password box on Reporting Services
i'm assuming you're doing this using a web browser. if that's the case, then have you tried adding your reporting site to the Trusted Zone, and configuring the zone to pass the credentials of the currently logged in user?
