Question : Creating temporary relationships using DE base class

I have saved my DE's as classes and tied them to my forms but the DE class is different because I do not have the same interaction with tables as I did before. So how can I create temporary relationships using the classes? With a regular DE everything is just drag and drop, but that appears to have gone away.
