Question : Installing Access 2007 (Runtime) with Office 2003 Professional
Is there a problem with installing/running Access 2007 (runtime) and Office 2003 Professional (with active Access solutions) at the same time?
I have decided to begin the process of migrating our users into the "brave new world" of the new Office GUI - i.e., the ribbon. I have (sort of) come to the conclusion that the best/easiest method to accomplish this is to use Access 2007 (and the ribbon) for the next Access development project. Due to budgetary restraints, it will be 2011 before any Office upgrade is performed - and by then it will probably be Office 2010. Combining the need to introduce the new GUI and lack of money. led me to conclude an Access 2007 Runtime solution might be best.
Thanks for any help,
Slator
Answer : Installing Access 2007 (Runtime) with Office 2003 Professional
We are currently using the 2007 runtime and the 2003 full version side by side with no problems. the free runtime might be a good way to acclimate your users to the ribbon.
