Question : number of messages limit for account in Exchange 2007 using Outlook 2003

Is there any message number limit if I'm using Outlook 2003 with Exchange 2007?

There is no storage issue on the Exchange server.. it's got 300-400 gigs free. Can I have 20,000 - 30,000 messages in my inbox without archiving it off? Any problem with just keeping Outlook 2003 as my client?

Answer : number of messages limit for account in Exchange 2007 using Outlook 2003

That's correct.  The main issue is number of messages per folder, performance wise.  However, in my experience, overall mailbox size does negatively impact Outlook performance.

As far as the actual mailbox database itself though, it should handle it without problem.  I have a user with over 250k messages in his mailbox.
