Question : msaccess 2003 and turning on a new menu toolbar from module code and turning off the main menu from the same place
|
|
I have an access data base that I intend to put some light security on. What will happen is that when the first form opens the on open event will fire and ask for a password, that will then look up and see if it is valid if it is it will turn the user menu on and turn off the main menu. so that they will not have the access that we do not wish. I am staying away from the access security for other reasons that I need not go into. I have been trying to get commandBars("user").Visible=true to run works good on the web tool bar but not on the one I created and will not turn off the main (menu bar) when I try false. also tried various docmd.addmenu( but could not figure out what it wanted to see. any help would be appreciated.
