Question : SBS2003 Fax Server receive options
Currently using a standalone fax machine for incoming faxes on a dedicated inbound phone line. This fax receives orders that our dispatchers need to be aware of immediately. The problem arises with faxes received after hours. We have SBS2003R2 on the server and are looking to use that as a solution. Can the fax server be configured to always print the fax on the local printer, AND forward to an email address? The documentation I've been reading says we can configure the server to send the fax to email, or store in a folder or print to a printer. The word "or" implies that I will be able to select only one of these options. Is that true?
Answer : SBS2003 Fax Server receive options
Yes - you can have it print, copy to a folder and email it. I have an SBS 2008 box that I look after and they get faxes printed and stored to a folder.
