Question : New Exchange 2007 installation after exchange server 2000 fail ?

Hallo experts

unfortunatelly, I have big problem. One of my Exchange 2000 servers failed down today to the blue screen (error, which I am not able to solve now - INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE). This server serves only for exchange 2000, so I would like to ask you, if its possible to install new exchange 2007 on other working server and then somehow import data from exchange 2000 to the new exchange 2007? I have full backup of exchange information store, also I can get to the disk data of failed server. Or is there any way to install exchange 2007 without runing old exchange 2000 server?

please use the following instructions to recover your envirnment and migrate to Exchange 2007

1- install a new fresh windows on any machine and use the old Exchange 2000 computer name

2- re-install Exchange 2000 using the setup.exe /disasterrecovery switch

3- update Exchange 2000 with same service packs and patches as the old Exchange 2000 server

4- perform a restore for the database from your backup

5- install exchange 2007***
