Question : Access Pretected Folders on the Network using different Credentials
Here is my first question on EE! I am testing functionality of Windows 7 for use where I work. Everyone logs into their machines using their normal credentials. Example: JSmith Now we have File Shares all over that are only allowed access to certain individuals, using certain Credentials. "JSmith" happens to work in IT and has a Domain Admin Account, the username for that account is "JSmithDA" How do you open up a network shared folder using JSmithDA while logged into your local machine as JSmith? In XP/IE6 we used to use IExplorer.exe and RunAs, and that worked great, but doesn't work the same way with IE8.
Answer : Access Pretected Folders on the Network using different Credentials
You can map a drive and specify alternate login credentials. That is one option.
