Question : Run As Different user
|
|
I have an Access2003 mdb file/application on my local PC that I access with a local login account.
I would like to logon to the Access2003 with my network account so that I have access to Active Directory and can use Windows Authentication to access remote database tables linked in my mdb file.
I have a shortcut to the mdb file. When I right-click on it and then go to Properties > Advanced, I get a dialog that lets me "Run with different credentials". However this is grayed out.
Is there anyway to modify the registry or to do something else in order so that this dialog is NOT grayed out? When I open up the mdb file, I don't want it to use my local account, I want it to prompt me for my network account.
Thanks.

Answer : Run As Different user

Instead of using "run as" for the mdb file, try using "run as" for Microsoft Access. Then open the MDB from there.
