Question : How do I import data (number values) into access with multiple decimal places, i.e., 64.01.01?
|

I am creating a database from many excel spreadsheets. Some of the information in the spreadsheets contain values that have numbers with more than one decimal place to identify property tracts, i.e., 64.01.01.02. When I import the data, access displays a list of the data that didnt import, which are the records that had more than one decimal. Please help!

You need to import that data as text, not numbers. If you sort the spreadsheet on that column in descending order (so the text values come first) and then import it to a field set up as text, it should work. Regards, Rory
