Question : How to Grant Local Admin Rights to Domain Users via Group Policy

We have several customers that are required to have local admin rights on their computer to run specific apps.  Most of these users are standard Domain Users in Active Directory and we do not want to change that.

Question - Is it possible to use Group Policy to grant a user Local Admin rights to their computer?  If so, how is this done?

Yes you can do it using restricted groups, great blog by Florian here:

You can either wipe what is there and add your new groups and people or just add to what is there on the box now...sounds like you want to just add.
