Question : Why does performance score increase for processor due to Win7 64-bit?

Why does the performance score for processor increase from 5.9 (Vista 32) to
6.5 in Win7 64?
Same CPU: Intel E8400 set at default speed, voltage, before running in Vista & then in Win7.

I did increase the size of  memory RAM to 4 GB up from 2GB, but do not think that effects the CPU score, does it? Memory also increased score from 5.6 to 7.0.

Does 64-bit increase score over 32-bit?

Also, in Windows 7 the maximum experience index score was increased to 7.9, rather than 5.9 as in Vista.  See this article for some more explanation of your change in score:
