Question : why is edgetransport.exe running...It is not intalled!

I am going through task man on my exchange 2007 server, and have noticed that edgetransport.exe is using several hundred mb of memory.  

The weird thing is that I did not install the edge transport server on this box...nor am i using it in my organization.

Any thoughts as to why this is running?

This may seem pretty strange I know I thought so but this is normal. This process runs on the Hub transport server also.
