Question : Bootable floppy to support LG USB CD-RW in dos mode

I got one TOSHIBA notebook the internal CD-R faulty luckly it got floppy drive & USB 2.0 ports

I am looking for a bootable floppy disk that includes smartdrive, fdisk and LG usb cd-rw function as CD-R support in dos mode allow me to install Windows XP back. I need to be able to boot to a dos prompt and then copy files from the usb device to the hard drive using dos commands. I'll appreciate anyone can help and create the bootable floppy disk image file and I can burn into my floppy disk to use. Prefer Windows 98se version.

I am a beginner user very dumb on command edit, try on a lot of website to read how to edit the command on those .sys file, exe file on the original boot disk but failed. If you can edit those files and upload the necessary for me to download and overwrite mine that would be great of course include the USB device driver. Or even the entire bootable floppy drive image file that lovely.

Thanks in advance for anyone who kindly help here.

It is almost impossible to get USB2 to work under DOS. Only some older USB1.1 chips have drivers. I rather suggest you use the following link to create XP Installation Boot Floppies, This will give you 8 or 10 Floppies, and once they are installed your USB CD Drive should also get recognized.

If that doesn't work, either get a PCCard CD Drive, or get your internal drive replaced. A third option would be to attach the HD to another PC using a 2.5" to 3.5" Adapter and copying the i386 folder of the CD to that HD.
